Winter Sports

For those who enjoy winter sports, skiing, snowboarding or even snowshoeing are still a possibility till the end of March. Famous ski resorts are located nearby Montreux, like:

Walking along the lake to Château de Chillon

Romantic lake-side walk along the "flower path" from Montreux (4 km or 45 minutes) far from the noise and bother of road traffic. You pass though gardens and little harbours, and you have magnificent views of the mountains across the lake.

Coming back you can walk up to the main road and take the line bus #201 bus or even the boat. The "Chillon" bus stop is in front of the castle, buses every 10 to 20 minutes. The Boat stop "Chillon" is at 100m from the castle.

Château de Chillon

An architectural jewel located between the shores of Lake Geneva and the Alps, this monument with over 1,000 years of history, has always inspired artists and writers, from Jean-Jacques Rousseau to Victor Hugo and Lord Byron, from Delacroix to Courbet.
